Fill the Cart from the Heart Springfield Rotary Thanksgiving 2025 Food Drive The Springfield Rotary Club will be holding a Fill the Cart from the Heart Food Drive on Saturday, Nov. 22 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., in the Springfield Shopping Plaza, to benefit the Springfield Family Center Food Shelf. Please come grab a bag and fill it with nonperishable food items or personal care products to help those in need. The Rotary Club will be set up by Shaw’s in the plaza and hopes to see you there. |

The Rotary Club of Springfield, Vermont will host its fifth annual live butterfly release fundraiser on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 7PM at Comtu Cascade Park. The rain date will be August 29, 2026 at noon. Donors can purchase butterflies to release in support of Rotary’s community service projects. According to past Rotary Club president Karen Longo, the event offers a meaningful way to remember and celebrate loved ones who have passed away. “Over the past four years, we’ve released more than 600 butterflies and raised nearly $6,000 for local community projects,” Longo said. “This fundraiser provides a beautiful way to honor our friends and family.” “We encourage donors to release butterflies in remembrance or celebration of a loved one,” she added. All butterflies will be of the Painted Lady variety, which is native to the region. Butterflies are $10 each and can be purchased on Fridays at the Concerts at the Comtu or through any Springfield Rotary Club member. |
